The Santa Maria del Popolo School Board is composed of eight elected or appointed members of the parish, the pastor, and the principal. The members serving on the Board for the 2012 - 2013 school year are:

Mr. Martin Cappelle (Secretary & Finance Council Liaison)
Mrs. Maria Backe (Parish Council Liaison)

Mrs. Jelly Prado (Social Media)
The function of the School Board is to assist in hiring the Principal, to approve the budget and to formulate all policies relating to planning, operating, and maintaining the facilities and equipment of the school within the framework of the Archdiocesan policies. The board has further extended its activities to include marketing activities for Santa Maria del Popolo School and Alumni Relations.
Meetings are usually held on the third Tuesday of each month in the Parish Center conference room. All regular meetings of the School Board are open to the parishioners and parents of children attending Santa Maria del Popolo School.

The Family Association is an organization that promotes family involvement in the school. Some of the functions sponsored by the assocation include: Fun Fair, Christmas Bazaar and Skating Party. They also publish the student directory, sponsor the teacher appreciation brunch and coordinate the Room Parent Program. These multiple and varied activities offer something for everyone. Getting involved in the school community and volunteering to work with the Family Association is a great way to meet other school families.
