Welcome to Santa Maria del Popolo School. Our focus is to ground our children's identity in sound Catholic teachings as well as to develop their academic skills. We are proud of offering a good nurturing environment that enhances our students with high standards. The Principal, the teachers, and school families bring a family oriented focus which integrally prepares the future young Catholics of the Church.

Santa Maria del Popolo School is excited to share the value of a Catholic education with students and families. The school is centrally located in Lake County and offers the deep experience and commitment of the faculty to the success of our children. The updated technology center, library, and chapel are outstanding features of the school. And, our recently built Parish Center provides our students with a new gymnasium for Physical Education class and to show their pride during music concerts and as the athletics teams play basketball and volleyball.

Welcome to the Santa Maria del Popolo Catholic School website, a portal for students, parents, and visitors.
At Santa Maria del Popolo, we believe that every student is a unique individual blessed by God with a myriad of talents. We have small class sizes, and our highly qualified staff is dedicated to the spiritual, intellectual, moral, social, and physical development of each child. Our faith based academic program includes science, technology, Spanish, mathematics, language arts, social studies, art, music, and physical education. On the Terra Nova Tests, Santa Maria students achieved scores above the national average in all subtests. Students have the opportunity to participate in band, student council, the handbell choir, and an intermural athletic program. Our spacious campus contains a computer lab, science lab, playground, ball field, and gym.
Before and after school care is available. In 2010, we will open a preschool. If you are interested, please be sure to call the office and be put on the mailing list. Also, Santa Maria students will have priority enrollment in the Lake County Regional Middle School which will open in August of 2010.
Santa Maria is currently accepting new students. Financial assistance is available. If you would like more information or a tour of our campus, please contact the school office.
